Forstbrunn is an officially named part of the municipality of Wiesenfelden in the Straubing-Bogen district .
The hamlet is located about 500 meters east of Schiederhof in the Waxenberg district and consists (2019) of three properties with four residential buildings.
history
Forstbrunn was originally part of the municipality of Waxenberg and was incorporated into the municipality of Höhenberg in 1946 , which came from the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg to the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen on July 1, 1972 and was incorporated into Wiesenfelden on January 1, 1974.
In the description of Joseph von Hazzi from 1805 there is no mention of Forstbrunn. A map from around 1829 shows the location of the place on the eastern slope of Kobelberg about 500 meters south of today's part of the municipality of Wiesenfelden with the same name and shows eight buildings. In the first photo from 1808 and 1864, six residential buildings can be seen in the same location at an altitude of about 647 m above sea level. NHN . The geographical register of Bißthum Regensburg from 1813 describes the place as a hamlet belonging to the parish Wiesenfelden and the district court of Wörth in the rain district . The repertory for topographic atlas sheet 49 from 1829 describes Forstbrunn as a hamlet with four houses. In the topogeographical lexicon of 1831 Forstbrunn is described as "a hamlet in the Wörther Forste and on the Leithenbache of the Hrschtg. Wörth, 1/2 hour from Wiesenfelden, where it is parish. It comprises 4H. With 16E." In the matriculation of 1838 Forstbrunn belongs to the parish of Wiesenfelden and the "Fürstl. Taxischen Herrschaftsgericht Wörth" and counts 5 houses with 26 souls. For 1864 18 inhabitants and seven buildings are given, in the census data of 1871 for Waxenberg Forstbrunn is listed as a hamlet with 24 inhabitants, ten buildings and 38 cattle, belonging to the Catholic. Parish and school in Wiesenfelden, Post Falkenstein. The 1875 census registered 36 inhabitants. In the locality directory of the following census of December 1, 1885, the hamlet has four residential buildings with 28 inhabitants. The settlement shrinks to two residential buildings with new residents by the 1925 census. In the time after the Second World War, the settlement was built at its present location with three properties, the old location was devastated . The desolation of the former settlement is a registered soil monument .
