history
The company Frengen Slip & Motorverksted in Rissa had been offering technical services in shipbuilding since 1918 . In 1962, the Norwegian Jens Bye bought the company and expanded it into a shipyard. At the end of April 2008, the Norwegian Bergen Group, a group of six investors, announced the takeover of the holding company in the Bergen Group Shipbuilding Division . Thereafter until 2014 the company operated as the Bergen Group Fosen .
