history

In 1846 a family named Fuchs lived in the Trier area on the Moselle and grew wine. The family's three brothers ended up in America. One of the direct descendants of these three adventurers was Geoff Fox, the founder of Fox Racing. 1974 created this very Geoff Fox, a physics professor at a university in Santa Clara his own fashion brand under the name Moto-X Fox and sales as at the beginning his motorcycle clothing to Fox in 1977 a private motocross team called Team Moto-X Fox on his feet posed. Despite the strong financial competition from Japan, the team developed into the "Best of the Rest", the top team behind the factory teams. The hype about the hand-sewn red-orange jerseys grew bigger and bigger. Fox had to reorganize its small business and started mass production. Over the years, the label has developed into the leading manufacturer of motocross and motorcycle clothing. In 1980 Mark Barnett won the national motocross championship. Brad Lackey even won the world championship two years later. Both drivers were sponsored by Fox. In the 2000s , Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart won championships in one go and increased Fox's popularity enormously.

Products

After Fox initially had a very limited range , new products came along as the year progressed. The specialization is still on functional motocross clothing. This includes helmets, gloves and complete mountain bike outfits. Trademarks are large, colorful graphics, mostly with the logo, the fox's head. Due to the great success of functional clothing, the company dedicated itself to the ever-expanding streetwear industry. In addition to the action sports sector, Fox now also manufactures conventional trousers, T-shirts, shoes and even sunglasses. Through the licensing of the three leading energy drink manufacturers Red Bull , Rockstar Energy and Monster Energy , Fox is combining functional clothing with the streetwear sector.

Extreme sports

There are currently in -house teams for both motocross and BMX . The "Nuclear Cowboyz" represent the former and consist of the drivers Derek Guetter, Dustin Miller, Adam Jones, Mike Mason and Brody Wilson. The BMX team consists of Christian Becerine, Stephen Laralde, Māris Štrombergs and David Herman. In addition to these two teams, Fox Racing has various drivers under contract.
