François-Xavier Demaison (born September 22, 1973 in Asnières-sur-Seine , Hauts-de-Seine , France ) is a French actor .

biography

François-Xavier Demaison is the son of two lawyers. His younger brother and two younger sisters also work in the justice system. He studied acting at the renowned film school Cours Florent and broke off his artistic career in favor of a degree in law and politics at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris . He got a job at Landwell & Associés, a PricewaterhouseCoopers law firm , as a chartered accountant and worked in New York City . He experienced the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 from his office in Manhattan . The experiences were so drastic for him that he decided to separate from his wife and from now on only live as an actor. He played from then on theater and had minor supporting roles before going into the 2007 published and Gérard Krawczyk comedy thriller staged L'Auberge rouge - including murder alongside Christian Clavier , Josiane Balasko and Gérard Jugnot debuted on the big screen. For his portrayal of Coluche in the biopic Coluche, l'histoire d'un mec he was at the presentation of the French film award César in 2009 as Best Actor nomination.
