François Boyer

François Georges Boyer (born March 30, 1920 in Sézanne , Département Marne , † May 24, 2003 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye , Département Yvelines ) was a French author who was nominated once for an Oscar .

Life

Boyer published the novel Jeux interdits in 1947 , which was filmed by René Clément in 1952 as Jeux interdits ( Forbidden Games ) with Georges Poujouly , Brigitte Fossey and Amédée . For this he was nominated at the Academy Awards in 1954 for the Oscar for the best original story. By 1983 he created the templates for thirty films and television series .

In War of the Buttons (La guerre des boutons, 1962), the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Louis Pergaud , which was directed by Yves Robert with André Treton , Jean Richard and Michel Isella , he not only played the supporting role of the priest, but also wrote the adaptation of the novel as a script.
