Francesco Cavina
Francesco Cavina (born February 17, 1955 in Faenza , Province of Ravenna , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Carpi .
Life
The Bishop of Imola , Luigi Dardani , ordained him a priest on May 15, 1980 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Carpi on November 14, 2011 and was instituted on February 5 of the next. He was ordained bishop by Cardinal Secretary of State and Chamberlain , Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone SDB , on January 22nd of the following year; Co- consecrators were Dominique François Joseph Mamberti , Secretary of the Section for Relations with States of the State Secretariat , and Tommaso Ghirelli , Bishop of Imola . As a motto he chose Non excidet Dominus .
Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on June 26, 2019.
