Francesco Lomanto

Francesco Lomanto (born March 2, 1962 in Mussomeli , Caltanissetta province ) is an Italian clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic Archbishop of Syracuse .

Life

Francesco Lomanto attended the Episcopal Boys' Seminary in Caltanissetta from 1976 to 1981 . Lomanto then studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the seminary in Caltanissetta. He received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Caltanissetta on June 29, 1986 .

After ordination, Francesco Lomanto worked as parish vicar in Villalba , San Cataldo and Caltanissetta. He also taught at various state schools from 1986 to 1989 and from 1992 to 1996 at the Episcopal Boys' Seminar in Caltanissetta and at the Institute for Religious Studies in Sant'Agostino . 1991 In addition, acquired Lomanto at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome , a licentiate in professional church history and in 1992 at the Vatican School of paleography, Diplomatics and Archives a diploma .
