Francis Joseph Christian
Francis Joseph Christian (born October 8, 1942 in Peterborough , New Hampshire , USA ) is an American clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Manchester .
Life
Francis Joseph Christian received on 29 June 1968, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
April 2, 1996 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Quincy and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Manchester. The Bishop of Manchester, Leo Edward O'Neil , ordained him episcopal on May 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Bishop Emeritus of Manchester, Odore Joseph Gendron , and Bishop of Portland , Joseph John Gerry OSB .
Under Bishop Peter Anthony Libasci , he was Vicar General of the Diocese of Manchester until his retirement . Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on February 1, 2018.
