from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Franco Ukmar (born March 29, 1936 in Rome ; † August 10, 2016 there ) was an Italian circus performer, stunt performer and actor in film.

Life

Ukmar came from a circus family (whose family name was originally written as Uckmar ) and contacted us at the beginning of the 1960s, when - due to the wave of the then extremely popular Peplum films - the Italian film industry had a great need for stunt people, physically present small actors and weapons masters . like his brothers Giancarlo (* 1938), Giovanni (* 1940), Sergio (1935–1985), Bruno and Clemente for these tasks. He developed into one of the busiest stunt people and coordinators, where he also took on the smallest, minor and supporting actor roles. After the wave of sandals had subsided, he was seen in numerous spaghetti westerns , Poliziottesci , adventure films and other popular genre works, including some comedies with the actors Bud Spencer and Terence Hill .
