In Beirut, the police are on duty against drug traffickers who have chosen the city as the center of their trade. The local boss Blal is also facing competition from Englishman Paynes, who is developing a plan to smuggle a large amount of hashish into Tetuan. He wants to use a mining engineer to get the goods out of town. Since Patrick Gordon, who has so far led a relaxed life with his German colleague Gert Schneider, initially refuses, Paynes has his son Eric kidnapped. Gordon agrees and brings the cargo to its destination, additionally hindered by the competing gang of Blals. Only then do the police intervene, who until then have only been observing, and put the middlemen on a boat. With the unexpected help of Blal, Gordon can finally embrace his son as well.

criticism

The lexicon of international film wrote "In places a highly effective suspense film in an agent milieu" . In the genre book Der Terror is directed by Karsten Thurau: “You have to give the relatively unknown director (...) high credit for not falling into the typical 'sixties supermen' syndrome," which means that his characters are definitely believable and vulnerable. ”The Protestant film observer remarks succinctly that the film is a meaningless and low-tension thriller.
