Franco Delli Colli (born March 2, 1929 in Rome , Italy , † April 22, 2004 there ) was an Italian cameraman .

Life

Delli Colli, inspired by the first successes of his cousin, the later famous Italian cameraman Tonino Delli Colli , also came to film in the early 1950s and initially worked as a camera assistant . In 1957 he rose to become a simple cameraman, in the following five years he was involved in a few historically significant productions in his country, above all at the beginning of the 1960s Luchino Viscontis Rocco and his brothers (under the chief camera of Giuseppe Rotunno ) and Pier Paolo Pasolini's Accattone - Who never ate his bread with tears (under Tonino's boss camera). After another collaboration with his cousin and Pasolini at his Mamma Roma , Franco Delli Colli was given the opportunity to work as head cameraman for the first time in the same year 1962.

Over the next three decades, Franco Delli Colli continuously photographed B-film goods from directors such as Massimo Dallamano , Stelvio Massi , Lamberto Bava and Pupi Avati who were hardly artistically ambitious . The majority of these films are action based and as flogging as shooting joyful gangster, criminal or police films (the so-called Giallo associate), but also (in the 1960s, especially the end) spaghetti western with genre typical B-stars. There were also several excursions into the genre of the sex-and-crime thriller, and more rarely into that of pure comedy clothing. Delli Colli's later works often have erotic elements as the central ingredient. After working on the sex thriller "Top Model 2" , Franco Delli Colli ended his film career in 1990, which was all in all less than spectacular.
