Tonino Delli Colli
Tonino Delli Colli (born November 20, 1923 in Rome , † August 16, 2005 there ) was an Italian cameraman .
Life
Delli Colli worked as a cameraman for many decades, from the age of 16, and directed the recordings for many classic films. He started his career with his cousin Franco Delli Colli (1929-2004), who was also a cameraman. He worked with directors such as Federico Fellini , Pier Paolo Pasolini , Sergio Leone , Roberto Faenza, Dino Risi and Mario Monicelli , for example on Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod , Der Name der Rose und Ginger and Fred .
Robert Benigni's Oscar -gekrönter strip Life is Beautiful was one of his last works. For the fourth time in his career, he was awarded the David di Donatello Italian film prize for best cinematography for this film .
Delli Colli received over 130 film awards between 1944 and 2005, including six times the Nastro d'Argento des Sindacato Nazionale Giornalisti Cinematografici Italiani and the International Achievement Award from the American Association of Cinematographers ( ASC ). In 1986 he was a member of the jury of the Cannes International Film Festival .
