Franco Zuculini (born September 5, 1990 in La Rioja ) is an Argentine football player with an Italian passport. It is preferably used in the central or right midfield .

Career

society

Zuculini played at the Racing Club when he was young - there he began his professional career in 2008. He made his professional debut on April 13, 2008. In the following years he developed into a central midfield position to a regular player and attracted attention on the European football market.

From the 2009/10 season, Zuculini played in the Bundesliga with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . He moved to TSG for a € 4.6 million transfer fee. The midfielder made his Bundesliga debut on matchday five in a 3-0 win against VfL Bochum . Coach Ralf Rangnick replaced him in the 84th minute for Demba Ba . The Argentine scored his first Bundesliga goal on October 24, 2009, when he made the final score in a 3-0 win against 1. FC Nürnberg .

For the 2010/11 season Hoffenheim Zuculini awarded to Genoa in the Italian Serie A .

In February 2011 TSG 1899 Hoffenheim loaned Zuculini to Racing Club in its home country until the end of the 2010/11 season .

In August 2011, Zuculini was loaned to Real Saragossa for the 2011/12 season. TSG Hoffenheim's contract with Zuculini, which actually ran until June 30, 2014, was terminated by mutual agreement in May 2012. He was then firmly committed by Real Zaragoza.

After Zuculini had been without a club since mid-August 2013, he returned to his home country of Arsenal de Sarandí in mid-January 2014 . After only 12 games moved Zuculini for Bologna FC , with whom he in the Serie A rising. After only one game completed in the following season, he moved to Hellas Verona , where he again made it to the Italian House of Lords.

National team

Zuculini took part in 2007 with the Argentine U-17 national team at the Campeonato Sudamericano Sub-17 and finished third, which was also sufficient to qualify for the U-17 World Cup in South Korea in 2007 . At the World Cup finals, he was used in four of Argentina’s five games, and he was in the starting line-up three times. The Argentine team finally failed in the quarter-finals against later world champions Nigeria. In 2009 he was part of the Argentine U-20 squad at the Campeonato Sudamericano Sub -20 . With one win and three draws, the team reached the final round, but only scored two points in five games and finished the tournament in 6th place, which was not enough to qualify for the Junior World Championship .

Under national coach Diego Maradona Zuculini made his debut for the Argentine national team on May 20, 2009 against Panama . When the score was 2: 1, he came on in the 58th minute for Eduardo Salvio, who was of the same age .

Private

His younger brother Bruno (* 1993) is also a professional footballer and is under contract with River Plate .
