Frank Clement (athlete)
Frank Clement (actually Francis James Clement; born April 26, 1952 in Glasgow ) is a former British middle and long distance runner .
He won over 1500 m in 1973 at the Universiade and the European Athletics Cup in Edinburgh . At the European Athletics Championships in Rome in 1974 , he was eliminated in the preliminary run.
In 1975 he came at the World Cross Country Championships in Rabat for Scotland starting 111th place and was third in the European Athletics Cup in Nice over 1500 m.
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he was fifth over 1500 m and reached the semifinals over 800 m .
In 1978 he finished 67th for Scotland at the Cross Country World Championships in Glasgow and was fourth in the 1500 m at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton .
In 1973 he was Scottish champion over 800 m and in 1972 English indoor champion over 1500 m.
