Sigurður Franklin "Frank" Fredrickson (born June 11, 1895 in Winnipeg , Manitoba , † May 28, 1979 in Toronto , Ontario ) was a Canadian ice hockey player and coach . He played on the position of the center .

At the Olympic Summer Games in Antwerp in 1920 he won the gold medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament with the Canadian national team , which was made up of players from the Winnipeg Falcons . Fredrickson, who was the team's captain , scored seven of the twelve goals in the final against Sweden . In the same year he also won the Allan Cup with the Falcons .

Another success in his career was winning the Stanley Cup with the Victoria Cougars in the 1924/25 season . In the National Hockey League he played from 1926 to 1931 for the Boston Bruins , Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Falcons . With the Pirates he worked as a player-coach in the 1929/30 season . In 1958 he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame .

The Canadians served during the First World War as a pilot .
