Frank Holl (historian)
Frank Holl (born August 20, 1956 in Heidelberg ) is a German literary scholar and historian.
Life
Frank Holl received his doctorate in 1993 from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich with a thesis on the physicist Max Born and his publisher Ferdinand Springer . In Germany and the Spanish-speaking world, he was best known for his publications and exhibitions on Alexander von Humboldt . Between 1994 and 2009 he conceived and organized eleven exhibitions on Humboldt in eight countries ( Mexico , Cuba , Venezuela , Colombia , Ecuador , Peru , Spain and Germany ). From 2008 to 2018 he headed the Munich Science Days . With his work he is primarily committed to conveying scientific knowledge to a broad audience in a generally understandable way.
