Franz Erich Kassbaum

Franz Erich Kassbaum , also: Kaßbaum (born June 1, 1885 in Lübeck , † November 19, 1930 in Hanover ) was a German architect and Prussian construction clerk .

Life

Franz Erich Kassbaum studied at the Technical University of Hanover and then from 1906 to 1911 at the Technical University of (Berlin-) Charlottenburg . He went to civil service in Potsdam , fought as a government building manager in World War I , was appointed government building officer around 1915 and initially worked in Goldap , East Prussia . In 1919 he was transferred to Arnsberg , on leave and worked in Schleswig from 1922 to 1925as a board member of the building construction department with the rank of government and building councilor. Around 1926 he became the head of the new buildings at the Technical University of Hanover, and later of all universities, and in this position he created larger university buildings in Hanover, which are now listed . Kassbaum died in a car accident.
