Franz Fegg (born November 21, 1954 in Berchtesgaden ; † November 1, 2016 presumably there) was a German football player in the position of a striker and then a football coach with a UEFA professional license.

Live and act

Born in the Berchtesgaden district and at the time still an independent municipality of Salzberg , Franz Fegg grew up in the Berchtesgaden district of Oberau , where he also lived all his life.

As a player he was among others at TSV Berchtesgaden in the former A-class and in the 1980s with both USK Anif and Salzburg AK 1914 in the 2nd division of the Austrian Bundesliga . With this team he won the championship title under coach Kurt Wiebach in the 1984/85 season and rose to the first Bundesliga. After leaving the Salzburg AK 1914 on July 1, 1986, he played for a number of third and fourth division clubs, including 1. Halleiner SK , SV Schwarzach im Pongau , SV Kuchl , SC Golling and the Bavarian district division SV Schönau-Wegfurt .

During his last season as a player at USV Hallwang , he took over as coach at ASVÖ FC Puch from April 23, 1993 to June 30, 1994 . He then stayed with the club for a short time as an assistant coach (July 1 to December 31, 1994) and, apart from the 1996/97 season, as a coach until May 14, 1999. On January 1, 2001, he took over the coaching position at SV Schwarzach im Pongau until October 12, 2001 and from April 27 to June 30, 2002 at PSV Schwarz-Weiß Salzburg . All clubs played under him in the third-class Regionalliga West . A four year hiatus followed.

From July 1, 2006 to December 12, 2008 he was under contract as assistant coach to Heimo Pfeifenberger and Edi Glieder at the Austrian third division club SV Grödig . And after a one-and-a-half year break, he then took over from June 10, 2010 to April 6, 2012 as coach of the U17s of the same club. Probably after that, by 2013 at the latest, he had completely ended his coaching career.
