Franz Fritz von Dücker

Franz Fritz Freiherr Dücker von und zu Rödinghausen , also Baron von Dücker (born February 3, 1827 in Rödinghausen near Iserlohn; † June 1, 1892 in Bückeburg ) was Bergrat and a member of the German Reichstag . He was the inventor of the cable car.

Franz Fritz von Dücker came from the noble family Dücker . His father was Theodor Freiherr von Dücker , noble lord of Rödinghausen (1791–1866, Catholic), Fideikommißherr in Rödinghausen, lord of Heese (Iserlohn district), son of Caspar-Ignaz von Dücker (1759–1839) in Rödinghausen and Heese and his wife Sophia born von Schade zu Ahausen. His mother was Karoline (1795–1873, ev.), The daughter of the Nassau court chamber council and tribunal judge in Dillenburg , Wilhelm Winter (1767–1821) and his wife Elisabeth Friederike Wilhemine nee Eberhardt.

Franz Fritz von Dücker married Albertine (1833–1907) in 1861, the daughter of the district and city judge of Minden Franz Friedrich Ernst August Max Freiherr von Vincke († 1891) and his wife Bertha nee Gantzer. The marriage remained childless.

Life

He attended high school in Soest and then practically worked for a year in the mountain subject in Bochum . In 1849 he began studying mineralogy at the University of Bonn . He later worked at the Mining Authority in Bochum and was appointed senior miner trainee in 1855 .

He then worked as a mountain jury in Mülheim an der Ruhr and at the Oberbergamt in Dortmund . In 1858 he managed the construction of tunnels on the Bingen-Saarbrücken railway line , in 1861 he developed a cable car, in 1863 he became a mountain assessor and in 1873 a mountain ridge.

In 1874 he became a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Schaumburg-Lippe (Bückeburg) and the National Liberal Party . He was a member of the Reichstag for two legislative periods until 1878.

Together with Roderich von Bandel , von Dücker examined numerous crude oil and petroleum storage facilities. As a result of the investigation of a whole series of places and areas, which von Dücker later dealt with in his own publication, the main success of the efforts was considered to be "the recovery of the old borehole near Neustadt , which was blocked at a depth of 200 feet."
