Franz Hartmann (pedagogue)
Franz Hartmann (born April 28, 1946 in Molbergen , † April 7, 2010 in Bremen ) was a German educator and trade unionist .
After graduating from high school, Hartmann completed his teaching degree in Innsbruck , Mainz and Göttingen . In 1976 he received his doctorate . From 1977 to 2010 he taught history, social studies and Latin at the Cooperative Comprehensive School (KGS) Leeste .
In 1982 he was elected chairman of the Diepholz district association of the Education and Science Union (GEW); he was also involved at the district and state level of this teachers' union.
Hartmann was a co-founder of the Latin news at Radio Bremen and together with other Latin teachers created their own Latin radio program for ten years. In this way he helped Latin gain new popularity.
