Franz Herrlein (politician)

Franz Joseph Herrlein (born February 28, 1818 in Sieberzmühle near Hosenfeld , † July 31, 1890 on the Margretenhaun estate near Petersberg near Fulda) was a German politician .

Life

Herrlein attended grammar school in Fulda. After completing his school education, he retired to the Margartenhaun estate near Fulda, which he owned. In 1849 he became a member of the district council. From 1852 he was regularly re-elected representative of the landowners of Kurhessen in the Hessian Second Chamber of Estates and, after its conversion into an assembly of estates in 1862, a member until 1867.

From the summer of 1867 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Kassel 12 (Fulda - Schlüchtern - Gersfeld) . After the establishment of the German Reich , Herrlein was a member of the Reichstag , where he represented the constituency of Kassel 7 (Fulda - Schlüchtern - Gersfeld) as a member from 1871 to 1879 . On January 10, 1879, he resigned his seats in the House of Representatives and his seat in the Reichstag.
