Franz Joachim Behnisch (born February 19, 1920 in Berlin ; † June 3, 1983 in Erlangen ) was a German writer .

Franz Joachim Behnisch grew up in Berlin-Schöneberg . In 1938 he passed his Abitur and was drafted into the labor service, which he performed in Silesia and the Saar-Palatinate . From 1938 to 1939 he attended the college for teacher training in Frankfurt (Oder) . After that, he began a study of the German language , history and biology at the University of Berlin . From 1940 he took part in the Second World War as an infantryman . In 1945, he fell into Soviet captivity , he in a camp in northern Russia spent and from which he was released 1948th From 1950 he continued his studies at the University of Munich ; In 1951 he passed his state examination there. From 1952 to 1979 he was a teacher of German and history at the Oberrealschule (later Kepler-Gymnasium) in Weiden / Upper Palatinate . In 1962 he received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Würzburg with a thesis on folklore .

Franz Joachim Behnisch was an outsider in the German literary scene who was shaped by his childhood and youth in Berlin and his inclination to play theater. He wrote novels , grotesques and poems , only a small part of which were published during the author's lifetime and, despite numerous positive reviews, found few readers. Ehrentraud Dimpfl, Weiden, takes care of his work posthumously.
