Franz Xaver Obermayr

Franz Xaver Obermayr (born November 15, 1817 in Gloneck , Traunstein district , † February 21, 1891 in Feichten ) was a Catholic clergyman and member of the Reichstag .

Obermayr attended the (today's) Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich until 1838 and then studied philosophy at the university there and theology at the Lyceum in Passau . In 1843 he was ordained a priest. Subsequently, he was a substitute teacher at the Latin school in Passau, 1846 to 1852 religion teacher at the Passau grammar school , 1852 to 1862 professor of church history and church law at the Lyceum in Passau. In 1862 he was appointed pastor in Feichten, and in 1864 he was appointed clergyman .

From 1871 to 1874 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the center and constituency of Upper Bavaria 7 ( Rosenheim , Ebersberg , Miesbach , Tölz ).
