Franz Xaver von Andlaw-Birseck
Franz Xaver Reichsfreiherr von Andlaw-Birseck (born October 6, 1799 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † September 4, 1876 in Bad Homburg in front of the height ) was a Baden diplomat.
Life
He was the son of Baden Minister Baron Konrad Karl von Andlaw-Birseck (1763-1839) and his wife Sophie von Schakmin. The Baden politician Heinrich Bernhard von Andlaw-Birseck (1802–1871) was his younger brother.
Franz Xaver von Andlaw-Birseck studied at the Universities of Freiburg , Landshut and Heidelberg law and then went on a Grand Tour through Italy , France and England . In 1824 he entered the Baden state service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs . During this time he and Katharina Hirsch married.
After he had been secretary of the Baden embassy in Vienna from 1826 to 1830 and again from 1832 to 1835 , he went to Munich as ministerial resident in 1838 , to Paris in 1843 and as envoy extraordinary to Vienna in 1846 . Andlaw-Birseck retired in 1856 and has lived mostly in Baden-Baden since then . As a devout Catholic, he also wrote various religious publications. He died on September 4, 1876 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe.
