Franziska Eichstädt-Bohlig b. Bohlig (born September 10, 1941 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( Greens ). From 2006 to 2009 she was parliamentary group leader of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life and work

Eichstädt-Bohlig attended school in Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia and obtained her Abitur in Unna . She studied architecture and urban planning in Hanover and Berlin (graduating with a degree in engineering) and has worked as an architect and urban planner since 1969 . From 1983 to 1994 she was (1988–1990) managing director of the redevelopment agency STATTBAU in Berlin . From 1989 to 1990 she worked as a non-party building councilor in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Eichstädt-Bohlig has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1993. Franziska Eichstädt-Bohlig is a member of the advisory board of the Federal Building Culture Foundation .

She was a member of the Bundestag from autumn 1994 until the 2005 Bundestag election . It was elected via the Berlin state list.

For the Berlin election on September 17, 2006 , she was nominated as the top candidate of the Greens and then elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. There she was initially elected parliamentary group leader, but in October 2009 she gave this office to her colleague Ramona Pop for reasons of age .
