Franziska Rabl (born November 15, 1975 in Munich ) is a German singer with a mezzo-soprano voice .

education

Franziska Rabl was born and raised in the Pasing district of Munich . She received music lessons from an early age. She played the violin, viola and horn in various chamber music ensembles and orchestras. After graduating from high school, which she passed at the Karlsgymnasium , she trained as an interpreter before starting her vocal studies at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich with Marilyn Schmiege . Prior to that, Franziska Rabl received private singing lessons from Pamela Coburn . During her artistic training, she gained her first stage experience in Munich's smallest opera house in the Pasinger factory in Die Fledermaus , La Cenerentola , Die Welt auf dem Mond , Hansel and Gretel and Ritter Roland. Franziska Rabl took master classes with Kurt Widmer , Edith Wiens and Donald Sulzen, among others . Since completing her studies, she has been vocal coached by Dietrich Schneider .

Opera

Engagements took the singer to the Opera Studio of the Zurich Opera House , where she expanded her repertoire from the baroque to the modern. From 2005 to 2008 she worked as a soloist at Theater Dortmund . There she sang important parts of her subject, e.g. B. In the 2010–2012 seasons, Franziska Rabl was a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz . She appears at numerous opera houses, u. a. the national theaters Mannheim and Weimar, the Landestheater Linz, the theaters in Leipzig, Erfurt, Dessau, Bielefeld, Aachen, Koblenz and Chemnitz. In 2018 she played the lead role of Indra's daughter in the contemporary opera Ein Traumspiel at Theater Hof . Aribert Reimann's first opera was brought back to the stage there for the first time in 30 years and was celebrated by the audience and the professional world. In addition to her stage presence, the mezzo-soprano performs a lively concert activity in the song and oratorio area and gives concerts with the orchestra of the WDR, the Staatskapelle Halle , the Baden-Württemberg Philharmonic, the Northwest German Philharmonic and others. a. She sang under the direction of Alexander Soddy , Dan Ettinger , Proinnsías Ó Duinn, Anthony Bramall , Walter Gugerbauer , Kazushi Ono, Arthur Fagen and many other well-known conductors.
