Frederik Ndoci

Frederik Ndoci (born February 9, 1960 in Shkodra ) is an Albanian singer. He represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki , Finland .

Ndoci comes from a family of artists, for example his sister Rita Ndoci is a professional entertainer.

In 1989 and 2007, Ndoci won the Festivali i Këngës , the most important music event in Albania. This festival has been the Albanian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004, so Ndoci was allowed to take part in the 2007 contest in Helsinki. He recorded an English version ( Hear my plea ) of the Albanian version of his song Balada e Gurit (Ballad of the Stone) , which he also performed in Helsinki. He had to start there in the semifinals and missed the finals there. He took part in the preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 , but could not score any points. In 2014 he came fifth in the Albanian preliminary round with the song Një ditë shprese (English: A day of hope).

At the time of his performance in Helsinki, Ndoci was married to the singer Aida Dyrrah , who supported him as a background singer.
