Eugent Bushpepa (born July 2, 1984 in Rrëshen , Albania ) is an Albanian singer and composer .

Life

Bushpepa sang as a little boy. After graduating from school, he emigrated to Italy. Bushpepa began his musical career in 2006: He is part of the house band on the daily talk show Top Show on Top Channel , which has made him famous throughout the country. A breakthrough was the participation in the music festival Top Fest in 2007 with the song Maska e Madheshtisë and with the song Engjell as part of the group Sunrise . In the same year he and his band were an opening act at the concert of Deep Purple in Tirana.

In 2008 he first took part in the music festival Festivali i Këngës . The duet with Rovena Dilo landed in twelfth place. He received awards at the Top Fest music festival in 2008, 2009 and 2015.

In 2017 he won the 56th edition of the Festivali i Këngës in Tirana with the song Mall ( German  Sehnsucht ) and therefore represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon . He reached eleventh place in the final after having succeeded in the semifinals.
