Kejsi Tola

Kejsi Tola (born February 5, 1992 in Tirana ) is an Albanian singer .

Life

Even as a child, she had the desire to become a famous singer. Her talent was professionally promoted from the age of ten: she received singing lessons . At age eleven, she received the first prize in the singing competition "Young Voices of Albania" ( Young Voices Albania ). She participated with great success in other festivals such as the "Friday Fever Song Contest of Albanian Modern Music" . They also won in 2007 the Albanian talent show Albanian Idol , giving her a direct nomination for the popular Albanian music festival FESTIVALI I KËNGËS earned.

There she took part with her song Më Mërr Në Endërr ( Take me with you into your dreams ). In the first semi-final she sang the piece solo, in the second with the famous singer Flaka Krelani . In the finale she sang the solo version again, with which she won. As the winner of the festival, she was able to represent Albania with the title at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow .

In Moscow she then performed the English version Carry me in your dreams . In the final of the ESC she finished 17th in the victory of the Norwegian Alexander Rybak .

In December 2009 she took part in the Festivali i Këngës again - the title of the song was Pse ekzistojme (Why we exist) . After that, things got quieter around Tola. She concentrated on completing school and will probably concentrate less time in her career in the future, but more time in her training at the Tirana Art Academy , where she will start studying classical singing in autumn 2010.

In December 2012 she reached fourth place with the song S'jemi më atje at the Festivali i Këngës .
