Eneda Tarifa (born March 30, 1982 in Tirana ) is an Albanian singer and TV presenter . She represented her home country Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm , Sweden .

life and career

Tarifa first participated in the Festivali i Këngës in 2003 and again in 2007 and won the talent show Top Fest in 2010. Her career began with her first participation in the Festivali i Këngës , where she reached the final with the title Qëndroj (I stay) . In 2006 she took part in the Kënga Magjike Festival , the second most famous music competition in Albania, and achieved 154 points and fourth place with Rreth zjarrit tënd . Her second contribution to Festivali i Këngës , E para letër (First Letter) , reached tenth place out of 17 in the final. In 2008 she took part again in Kënga Magjike and received 577 points for her contribution to Zëri in (My Voice) . Since her victory at Top Fest with the song Me veten (With me) , she has hosted the satirical program Portokalli on the Top Channel . She is privately married to the musician Erion Zaloshnja; their daughter Aria was born in 2013.

In 2014 she was accused of homophobia after making negative comments on Facebook about the ESC winner Conchita Wurst . She then stated that she was interested in art, which should not be misused by “lobbyists” of any kind, be it for sexual orientation, politics, religion, nationalism or racism.

On 27 December 2015, the singer won with the song Përrallë (Fairy Tale) , the 54th FESTIVALI I KËNGËS and thus was allowed to Albania in 2016 Euro Song Contest in Stockholm represented. She competed there with the English-language version Fairytale . However, she could not qualify for the final of the competition.

In 2019 she won the Kënga Magjike singing competition again.
