Friedhelm Aust

Friedhelm Aust (born May 9, 1951 ; † June 14, 2015 ) was a German football player . The defender played ten Bundesliga soccer games for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 1971/72 season .

career

Friedhelm Aust, who won the runner-up in the Niederrhein association league with Rheydter SV in 1969/70 , got a contract with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt for the 1970/71 round. In addition to the man from the Lower Rhine, Eintracht also signed Peter Reichel , Jürgen Papies , Thomas Rohrbach and the attacker Paul-Werner Hofmann from the youth . Like Hofmann, Aust did not appear in the Bundesliga under coach Erich Ribbeck in his first year as a professional. The second season opened the 1.89 m tall and rustic two-fighter on the start of the round, August 14, 1971, in the initial formation of Eintracht, which clearly lost the away game against Hamburger SV with 1: 5. Reinforced by the offensive newcomers Ender Konca and Thomas Parits , Eintracht worked their way up to 5th place at the end of the round. Aust, his game was not characterized by special technique and game opening, was substituted on in nine other league games after the opening game. With his use on March 7, 1972 in a 1-1 draw at 1. Mainz was under coach Bernd Hoss in 1973 with 44:16 points southwest champion and Aust had played in four league games. He could not press the excellent permanent staff on the defensive with Libero Herbert Scheller and the defenders Jürgen Richter , Willi Löhr (Vorstopper) and Jürgen Janz . In the promotion round he came on June 24, 1973 in the 2: 3 away defeat at Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin as a left defender to a game. When the defending champion from Mainz in 1973/74 finished 5th in the last year of the old regional league second division, Aust played 12 regional league games. After a total of 16 regional league appearances at Mainz 05, he joined Hassia Bingen in the 1st Amateur League Southwest for the 1974/75 season . With the red and black he was runner- up in 1977 and 1978 respectively.

He ended his football career at the age of 28 with Hassia Bingen. Aust was a defensive player with a good constitution and mostly played on the position of defender. He didn't score a goal during his time as a professional soccer player.

Most recently, Aust worked as a qualified sports teacher (Academic Senior Councilor) at the Institute for Sports Science at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz .
