Friedhelm König

Friedhelm König (born May 2, 1931 in Wuppertal ; † March 20, 2020 in Frankenberg (Eder) ) was a German vocational school teacher and author of evangelistic literature.

Life

Friedhelm König came from a merchant family. After graduating from high school , he studied economics in Marburg and business education in Cologne ; He gained commercial experience in his parents' company and in London . In 1954 he passed his first state examination as a commercial teacher, and after his legal clerkship in Wuppertal also his second state examination. From 1955 he taught at the newly founded two-year commercial school of the district vocational school in Frankenberg (Eder) . In 1965 he became head of the commercial department of the school, in 1969 deputy headmaster, in 1971 director of studies and in 1984 director of studies . In the same year he was one of the founders of the technical school for environmental protection technology (today Hans Viessmann School ) in Frankenberg. Since 1967 he has also been involved in traineeship training at the Marburg study seminar .

In addition, König wrote several evangelistic works. His first work, You are meant to be published in 1967, had several editions and was translated into Spanish, Dutch and Hungarian. Also the following books That is for sure , Are you really informed? and ... that gives us the victory were published several times and translated into Serbo-Croatian, English and Italian, among others.

König belonged to the "closed" wing of the Brethren movement .
