Friedrich Anton Ulrich von Waldeck (born November 27, 1676 in Landau ; † January 1, 1728 in Pyrmont ) was Count or Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont .

Friedrich Anton Ulrich was the son of Christian Ludwig , Count of Waldeck-Wildungen, and Anna Elisabeth, heiress of Rappoltstein . He came from the Waldeck family . From 1706 to 1712 he was Count of Waldeck and Pyrmont. On January 6, 1712 he was by Emperor Charles VI. raised to the hereditary prince status and called himself Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont ever since.

He built the Friedrichsthal hunting lodge (1701) in Selbach , the baroque palace at Pyrmont (1706), Friedrichstein palace in Wildungen (1707–1714) and finally the Arolsen palace (1713–1729), thereby establishing Arolsen as a residential town (1719). His palace buildings resulted in considerable indebtedness for the small principality.

His final resting place is in the former Marienthal Monastery in the grave chapel of St. Nicholas in Netze .
