Friedrich Bernhard von Prittwitz (born February 10, 1720 at Gut Karisch, Kr. Strehlen , Lower Silesia ; † 14 January 1793 at Gut Leipitz, Kr. Nimptsch , Lower Silesia) was the state elder and multiple landowner .

Prittwitz came from the old, widely branched Silesian noble family of those von Prittwitz and was the son of the landowner Hans Kaspar von Prittwitz , master of the Karisch, Louisdorf and Lorenzberg (all districts of Strehlen), Pangel, Woislowitz, Quanzendorf and Altstadt-Nimptsch (all Kr. Nimptsch), as well as Deutsch Würbitz, Kr. Kreuzburg ( Oberschlesien ), and Charlotte Elisabeth von Brauchitsch .

On April 26, 1758, he married Barbara Sophie von Heugel (* December 4, 1717; † March 1784), the widowed wife of the landowner Georg Siegmund von Seidlitz and daughter of the ducal Württemberg-Oelsnischen council, state court judge and state elder Gustav Adolf von Heugel , landlord on Gutwohne (Kr. Oels , Lower Silesia) u. a., and Helene Konstanze von Gfug and Fellendorf .

His wife brought her first husband's two estates, Leipitz and Sadewitz, into the marriage as heirs.

The marriage remained without offspring; the two children died in childhood.

The mausoleum , which was built for him in 1784 and the ruins of which were only restored in 2001, is still located in the cemetery in Nimptsch .

Life

After finishing school at the Brandenburg College of Knights , Prittwitz studied law at the Universities of Halle and Jena , but soon took over the Pangel estate.

He was landowner on Pangel, Woislowitz (Woislitz), Old City Nimptsch, Leipitz and Sadewitz (all Kr. Nimptsch) briefly on Dambrau and Sokolnik, both Kr. Falkenberg (Upper Silesia) and Chmielowice and Zirkwitz, both Kr. Opole ( Upper Silesia ).

From 1770 to 1774 Prittwitz was the state elder of the district of Opole (Upper Silesia).
