Friedrich Buchsieb

Friedrich Buchsieb (born February 17, 1856 in Neuwied ; † July 7, 1933 in Runkel ) was a farmer, civil servant and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Buchsieb was the son of the princely rent master August Ludwig Buchsieb and his wife Caroline née Momburg. Buchsieb attended the Progymnasium zu Neuwied from 1865 to 1871 and left with the Obersekunda. He then completed a commercial apprenticeship in the construction and wood industry. He then worked as a branch manager in this branch in Schliersee. In 1878/79 he did military service. From 1879 he was in the service of the Princely Wiedische domain administration and was there in 1884 princely rentmaster in Runkel an der Lahn. In November 1885 he married Luise, born Kloch in Runkel (born January 6, 1862 in Urbach-Überdorf; † May 31, 1892 in Runkel), the daughter of the princely chief forester Kloch.

From 1896 to 1900 he was mayor of Runkel. From 1887 to 1918 he was a member of the district council and district committee of the Oberlahn district. In 1905 he was appointed to the Princely Wied District Councilor and at the same time District Deputy of the Oberlahn District, which he remained until 1932. Shortly afterwards he became the head of the city council in Runkel and remained so until (at least) 1919.

From 1911 to 1920 he was a member of the Nassau municipal parliament. In 1911 he became a deputy member and in 1920 a full member of the state committee. In 1920 he became deputy chairman of the municipal council.

From 1903 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency district Wiesbaden 4 Limburg , Oberlahnkreis , Unterlahnkreis and the National Liberal Party .

He was also captain of the Landwehr Infantry and recipient of the Landwehr Service Award I. Class and the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Crown of Romania .
