Friedrich Christian Goering

Friedrich Christian Göring (born March 26, 1736 in Löbejün , † November 1791 in Demmin ) was a Protestant theologian and general superintendent in Pomerania .

Friedrich Christian Göring was born as the son of the pastor and inspector Carl Friedrich Göring and Dorothea Sophie Buntebart. From 1746 to 1754 he received lessons in the orphanage Halle (Saale) and studied theology at the university there from 1754 to 1757 .

In 1759 he became vice principal at the St. Martin School and preacher at the Hospital Church of the Holy Spirit in Halberstadt . In 1763 he was a chaplain in the regiment of the general and governor of Hülsen. In 1764 he then took on the 4th position of preacher at the Petrikirche in Berlin .

Friedrich Christian Göring married the Baruther superintendent's daughter Johanna Sophie Friederike Elisabeth Kunth on March 9, 1780 .

After 11 years in Berlin, Göring was appointed general superintendent of Pomerania in Stettin and at the same time as consistorial advisor and visitor to the grammar school there . He took over the office from Gottfried Christian Rothe and held it for 16 years until his death.

His successor was Gottlieb Ringeltaube .
