Friedrich Christian Gottlieb Perlet

Friedrich Christian Gottlieb Perlet (born August 8, 1767 in Werningshausen , † November 18, 1828 in Eisenach ) was a German educator and philologist .

Life

Friedrich Christian Gottlieb Perlet was the son of the Commissioner Johann Georg Perlet.

He attended grammar school in Gotha (today: Ernestinum Gotha ) and then began studying theology and philology at the University of Jena .

In 1790 he received the post of vice-principal at the Lyceum in Ohrdruf (today: Gymnasium Gleichense ) and in 1806 was appointed as sub- vice-principal at the grammar school in Eisenach (today: Martin-Luther-Gymnasium Eisenach ).

When there was an explosion in Eisenach on September 1, 1810, in which several powder wagons with three to four tons of explosives and grenades exploded, he lost all his belongings and his books, including a three-volume collection of excerpts that he had been able to keep for twenty years but still bring yourself to safety. He also wrote an essay on this event.

In 1823 he was appointed school councilor .

In order to establish an apprenticeship for mathematics and physics , he put on a legacy of 1000 thalers .

Writing

His works and writings were predominantly philological and dealt, among other things, with the Roman poet Terence . To this end, he wrote essays in the Morgenblatt for educated estates as well as the critical library for schools and teaching by Gottfried Seebode and in the archive for philology and pedagogy .
