Friedrich Karl Kienitz

Friedrich Karl Kienitz (born March 9, 1925 in Hanover ; † December 13, 2012 in Appen ) was a German non-fiction author , classical scholar , motor sportsman and journalist.

Friedrich Karl Kienitz studied Egyptology and Ancient History . With the work The Political History of Egypt from the 7th to the 4th Century BC , he received his doctorate in December 1949 at the University of Hamburg . In 1953/54 Kienitz was the holder of a travel grant from the German Archaeological Institute and was able to travel to the Mediterranean . Since 1960 he has lived as a freelance author and private scholar in Schleswig-Holstein . He published mainly popular scientific work on the early cultures and modern states, especially the cultural andEconomic history of the Mediterranean cultures and states as well as the Middle East .

From 1949 until his death, Kienitz was involved in the Hamburg Motorsport Club . From 1951 to 2007 he held the position of the club's press attendant and was on-site as a commentator in Assen , Hamburg-Farmsen , Scheeßel and other places. He was also active as a motorcyclist . He was able to achieve victories in Germany and Denmark on a NSU Fox and on karts .
