Friedrich "Fritz" Lehmann (born March 10, 1946 ) is a former German soccer player . The offensive player played eleven games with two goals in the Bundesliga between 1965 and 1972 , in the second-rate western, southern and northern regional leagues a total of 91 league games with 18 goals and an additional 13 games in the Bundesliga promotion round with three goals.

Career

Lehmann made the jump from Fortuna Düsseldorf's youth department to the Regionalliga team. From the 1964/65 season he was in the squad of coach Kuno Klötzer's team . On the last two game days of the season he came to his first two missions. Fortuna finished third and narrowly missed the promotion round to the Bundesliga , although center forward Peter Meyer had scored 25 goals in 30 games. A year later, it was the 1965/66 season , Fortuna won the championship in the western relay ahead of Rot-Weiss Essen . The young striker Lehmann had contributed to this in six missions alongside 16-time goalscorers Waldemar Gerhardt , Reinhold Straus and Peter Meyer. In the subsequent promotion round, the Düsseldorf team prevail against FK Pirmasens , Hertha BSC and Kickers Offenbach . In the season 1966/67 Lehmann came to two missions. Fortuna was penultimate and relegated straight back to the regional league. Lehmann left Fortuna and joined SV Wiesbaden .

Wiesbaden had just been promoted to the regional soccer league south . Lehmann could not keep up with the newcomer to the league and was relegated from bottom of the table. Personally, however, he was able to distinguish himself with his 13 goals in all 34 league games in the orange-blue Rheinhessen, so that he received a contract offer from the Bundesliga from Borussia Dortmund and moved to Westphalia. For Borussia he completed nine games in 1968/69 under the three coaches Oswald Pfau (until December 16, 1968), Helmut Schneider (December 17, 1968 to March 17, 1969) and Hermann Lindemann and was able to score twice at the side of Team-players like Lothar Emmerich (12 goals), Sigfried Held (eight goals), Willi Neuberger (eight goals) and Werner Weist (seven goals). So he contributed to the non-relegation, Borussia finished third from last. From Dortmund he moved to Osnabrück for VfL .

In his first season in the Regionalliga Nord , 1969/70, Lehmann managed to win the championship with VfL and the associated qualification for promotion to the Bundesliga. He had played 29 league games for the Bremer Brücke team and scored four goals alongside teammates like Andreas Burose, Karl-August Tripp, Friedhelm Holtgrave, Herbert Schröder, Willi Mumme, Harald Braner, Carsten Baumann and Ulrich Kallius. In the BL promotion round, he completed six games and scored one goal. But the opponents Arminia Bielefeld , Karlsruher SC , SV Alsenborn and Tennis Borussia Berlin were too strong. VfL finished fifth after eight games and remained in the regional league. In Lehmann's second season 1970/71 , the championship was won again in front of FC St. Pauli . In the association round in the game against Phoenix Lübeck he suffered a complicated broken leg and several torn ligaments and was therefore out for almost the entire round. In the promotion round things went better this time, but in the end the champions of the western season, VfL Bochum, rose, Osnabrück finished second. Lehmann has played two games from the second half. In his third and last year at VfL, 1971/72, he finished second at the end of the season and he was back with 19 appearances (one goal) among the regular players. As the northern runner-up, the team was qualified for the promotion round. This time, too, came second, and for the third time in a row it was not enough for Lehmann to advance to the Bundesliga. Lehmann had again played five games and scored two goals at the side of teammates like Werner Kamper , Jürgen Wohlgemuth , Volker Graul , Gerhard Elfert and Günter Karbowiak .

The trained banker ran a tobacco and magazine business during his time in Osnabrück.

In the summer of 1972 he moved to FC 08 Villingen in the amateur camp. He laced his shoes for Villingen for two seasons. Later he moved back to the Osnabrück area and was still working as a trainer in the amateur camp, for example in Dielingen and Bohmte.
