Friedrich von Nordeck to Rabenau
Friedrich Joseph Kilian Freiherr von Nordeck zur Rabenau (born March 20, 1793 in Londorf ; † December 31, 1863 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian general and politician and former member of the 1st and 2nd chambers of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Friedrich von Nordeck zur Rabenau, born in Londorf, which is now the largest part of the municipality of Rabenau (Gießen district, Hesse), was the son of the Hesse-Kassel officer Hugo Leopold von Nordeck zur Rabenau (1755-1832) and his wife Therese Bassilia, nee Freiin Huldenberghe van den Borsch. Friedrich was from Nordeck to Rabenau, the Catholic denomination, married on October 27, 1829 in Frankfurt am Main his cousin Ernestine Therese Leopoldine born Baroness of Zwierlein the daughter of the Imperial Barons and Hesse-Darmstadt urban Chamberlain Hans Jacob (1810-1871), of Zwierlein to Alten-Buseck and his wife Caroline nee Freiin von Nordeck zur Rabenau. Caroline (born January 8, 1787 in Londorf; † March 3, 1837 in Munich) was the six years older sister of Friedrich von Nordeck zur Rabenau (1793–1863). His brother Wilhelm Nordeck zur Rabenau (1798–1862), who was five years his junior, was also a member of the Hessian state parliament and forester.
His son Ferdinand Nordeck zur Rabenau (1837-1892) became a member of the Hessian state parliament and lieutenant colonel.
Military career
Friedrich von Nordeck zur Rabenau joined the Hesse-Darmstadt military in May 1805 and became second lieutenant in the Guard Fusilier Battalion in September 1807, where he was promoted to premier lieutenant in 1811. In 1814 he became captain 3rd in the same regiment, 2nd class in 1819 and 1st class in 1822. In 1825 he became a major and commander of the 1st Battalion in the 1st Infantry Regiment. In 1943 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and in 1845 to colonel. In 1853 he received the rank of major general and was commander of the. 1st Infantry Brigade. In 1855 he became the deputy of the High Court President. In 1859 he was retired as Lieutenant General à la suite .
politics
In the 1st and 2nd and 7th and 8th electoral periods (1820-1824 and 1835-1841) he was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the estates he represented the landed nobility. In 1856 he was appointed a lifelong member of the first chamber. At the beginning of the 17th state parliament (1862), he left the state parliament at his own request due to illness.
