Friedrich Rische

Friedrich Rische (born December 25, 1914 in Bochum , † November 22, 2007 in Düsseldorf ) was a German politician of the KPD .

Life

Risches father was a social democratic miner from Bochum who later joined the KPD through the USPD . He was a metal worker by profession.

He joined the KPD in 1932. During the time of National Socialism , he was arrested several times and sentenced to prison for high treason .

After the Second World War, Rische participated in the rebuilding of the KPD in the Ruhr area. From 1946 he was deputy editor-in-chief and head of economic policy for the Westdeutsche Volkszeitung . In 1948/49 he was a member of the Economic Council of the Bizone and chairman of the KPD parliamentary group. He was a member of the German Bundestag in its first legislative period from 1949 to 1953. On June 15, 1950, he and his parliamentary group colleagues Heinz Renner , Oskar Müller and Walter Vesper were excluded from participation in plenary sessions for 20 days because of unparliamentary behavior by Bundestag President Erich Köhler ; On March 4, 1953, President Hermann Ehlers of the Bundestag imposed the same measure for three days of meetings for the same reason.

From 1951 until the KPD was banned in 1956, he was a member of the board of directors of the party executive. In July 1956 he was sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment for "preparing for high treason" for creating and promoting the KPD program for German reunification.

Shortly after its foundation in 1968, Rische became a member of the DKP ; he remained so until his death.

In 2007 Friedrich Rische was the last surviving member of the Bundestag of the KPD and at the same time one of the last of the 1st German Bundestag at all.
