Friedrich Rudolf Victor Schürer von Waldheim (born September 1, 1866 in Unterdöbling , † June 2, 1935 Vienna ; short name Fritz Schürer von Waldheim ) was an Austrian doctor and alternative medicine .

Life

Fritz Schürer von Waldheim acquired in 1885 at the Franz-Joseph-Gymnasium Matura and then studied at the Vienna University of Medicine . On January 30, 1886, he and three fellow students , including Gottlieb August Crüwell , founded the Corps Symposion Vienna . In 1891 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD.

After completing his studies, he worked as a doctor mainly in Vienna until 1934. Schürer von Waldheim was a representative of an alternative medicine based on natural habits , but allowed the use of chemical preparations for accident treatment. In cancer therapy , he advocated the concept of "active immunization". In his publications he took a firm position against conventional medicine .
