Friedrich Witte (actor)

Friedrich Witte (* 1979 ) is a German theater actor .

Life

From 2001 to 2005, Witte completed an acting course (acting course) at the Folkwang University , now Folkwang University of the Arts , in Bochum . He completed his acting training in 2005 with a diploma.

After that he worked almost exclusively as a theater actor . He had permanent engagements and guest contracts at the Schauspielhaus Bochum (2003/2004 season; as a guest), at the Wuppertaler Bühnen (2004/2005 season; as a guest) and at the Osnabrück Theater . He has been a permanent member of the ensemble there since 2005.

In his first theater engagement at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, he took on roles in a stage version of The Jungle Book and in the comedy Man Don't Play with Love by Alfred de Musset . In 2004/2005 he played the role of the lover Oskar in the socially critical play Eldorado by Marius von Mayenburg at the Städtische Bühnen Wuppertal . There he appeared, directed by Holger Schultze , in Brecht's play The Caucasian Chalk Circle .

At the Osnabrück Theater he performed as Count Paris in Romeo and Juliet (premiere: February 2008), as a journeyman in Andorra (2009–2011; premiere: January 2009), as Ladislaus in the play Operetta by Witold Gombrowicz (premiere: March 2009 ), as Jens in the world premiere of Dirk Laucke's play zu jung zu old zu deutsch (premiere: May 2009), as Reverend Tooker in The Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (premiere: March 2010), as the broken macho Jan Werner Borschein in the Premiere of the play Friday Night by Oliver Bukowski (premiere: September 2010), as Luigi in Is Not Paid! by Dario Fo (season 2010/2011) and as an attaché in Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti (season 2010/2011).

At the Osnabrück Theater in March 2011 he played the singer and adolescent lover Franz, who enters into a homosexual love affair, in the world premiere of the play Café Haertel by Juliane Kann . In May 2011 he was there as M2 in the world premiere of the play The Devilish of the Wind Machines by Gert Jonke on stage. In the recital Mein Lieb, mein Leid he interpreted chansons by Jacques Brel in the 2010/2011 season .

Witte also took part in several theater tours. In the 2011/2012 season he will take on the title role in a stage version of the novel Confessions of the impostor Felix Krull at Konzertdirektion Landgraf .

Witte also played a few film and television roles.
