Friedrich von Gagern (politician)

Friedrich Balduin Freiherr von Gagern (born June 9, 1842 (according to other sources: June 4, 1842) in Monsheim ; † January 5, 1910 at Schloss Neuenbürg near Weisendorf in Bavaria) was a landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Gagern was the eldest son of Heinrich von Gagern , the first President of the Frankfurt National Assembly in 1848. After attending the Lyceum and the University in Heidelberg , he was with the Austro-Hungarian Navy , where he made various major trips as a naval officer. From 1876 to 1882 he was a member of the District Administrator of Upper Franconia and from 1884 to 1892 a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies for the constituency of Bamberg .

From 1881 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Upper Franconia 4 ( Kronach , Staffelstein , Lichtenfels , Stadtsteinach , Teuschnitz ) and the German Center Party .
