Friedrich II. Hermann Johann Georg von Solms, 2nd Prince of Solms-Baruth (born June 24, 1853 in Berlin , † December 31, 1920 in Klitschdorf ) was a German politician, chief treasurer and, as the owner of the Baruth estate, a member of the Prussian manor house .
Life
He was the son of Friedrich zu Solms-Baruth (1821-1904) and his wife Countess Rosa Teleki von Szek (1818-1890).
Prince Friedrich zu Solms-Baruth worked in various civil and military positions. In 1899 he became chief chamberlain at the court of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Friedrich was also Chancellor of the High Order of the Black Eagle . He also worked from 1897 to 1918 as an Imperial Commissioner and Military Inspector of Voluntary Nursing in the army in the field. He stood à la suite of the army and last held the rank of lieutenant general .
Marriage and offspring
On September 10, 1881, he married Countess Louise von Hochberg (1863–1941). The marriage had five children:
- Rosa Marie (born June 8, 1884 in Klitschdorf, † June 12, 1945 in Tylsen ),
- Friedrich Hermann (1886–1951),
- Hermann Franz (born October 11, 1888 in Klitschdorf; † May 7, 1961 in Eckart near Werfen),
- Hans Georg (born April 3, 1893 in Klitschdorf; † October 9, 1972 in Salzburg ),
- Johann-Georg Otto (born May 15, 1896 in Klitschdorf; † November 9, 1973 in Bremen ).
