Fritz Engler-Füßlin

Fritz Engler-Füßlin (born September 15, 1891 in Laufen ; † September 30, 1966 there ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

After attending the elementary school in Laufen, the community school in Sulzburg , the upper secondary school in Freiburg and the higher commercial school in Calw , Engler-Füßlin belonged to the 1st Baden Leib-Grenadier-Regiment 109 in Karlsruhe from 1911 to 1912 . From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War with the 1st Baden Leib Grenadier Regiment 109 . In 1917 he was seriously wounded during the Battle of Verdun . During the war, Engler-Füßlin was awarded the Iron Cross II class and the silver Baden Medal of Merit. After the war he joined the Freikorps Damm. In 1920 he settled as a farmer on his farm.

In 1930 Engler-Füßlin became NSDAP local group leader in Laufen (membership number 473.494). In 1932 he was appointed district leader of the Müllheim district. On October 1, 1933, he was appointed regional chairman. From September 24th, he was the regional farmers 'leader of the Baden state farmers' association and district manager for agricultural policy .

On February 17, 1936, Engler-Füßlin was appointed SS-Sturmbannführer and on May 15, 1936, Standartenführer in the Race and Settlement Main Office.

From March 1936 until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945, Engler-Füßlin was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 32 (Baden) .

After the outbreak of the Second World War , Engler-Füßlin headed the Baden State Food Office from September 1939 and at the beginning of July 1940 he was also head of civil administration in Alsace .
