Fritz Schönebeck

Fritz Schönebeck (born March 25, 1903 in Zehden ; † April 14, 1978 ) was a German party functionary of the GDR block party NDPD . He was chairman of the Schwerin district board of the NDPD.

Life

Schönebeck was a wheelwright by trade and later worked as an insurance trainee in Stettin . He became a member of the NSDAP in May 1937 . As a professional officer in the Wehrmacht , he took part in the war against the Soviet Union . As a lieutenant colonel, he was taken prisoner by the Soviets and attended an Antifa school there .

In 1948 he joined the NDPD and from 1951 was a city councilor in Potsdam and chairman of the NDPD district board in Potsdam . 1951/1952 he acted as political managing director of the NDPD state committee Brandenburg . From 1955 to 1956 he was political manager of the Neubrandenburg district board of the NDPD. From 1956 to 1969 he was chairman of the District Board of Schwerin NDPD and member of the District Day Schwerin. Since 1951 he was a member of the NDPD main committee.
