Life

Fritz von Miller was one of the sons of Ferdinand von Miller , the creator of Bavaria in Munich.

In 1864 he created artistic writing utensils for Ignatz Zaubzer. He worked with his brother Ferdinand on the Tyler Davidson Fountain , which was built in Cincinnati in 1871 . Both supported another brother, the civil engineer Oskar von Miller , financially when he wanted to open his own office in 1887.

Fritz von Miller married Rosina Theresia Anna Sedlmayr in 1875, a descendant of the brewer Gabriel Sedlmayr . He inherited a fortune through this wife in 1891.

In 1894 Fritz von Miller bought and renovated the Kainzenhof in Bad Wiessee ; In 1904 he was involved in founding the church building association in Bad Wiessee. The design for the Church of the Assumption of Mary , which could finally be consecrated in 1926, comes from his son Rupert von Miller . The Fritz-von-Miller-Weg in Bad Wiessee, on which the neo-Romanesque memorial chapel of the von Miller family is located, is named after Fritz von Miller.
