Frommershausen is a district of the municipality of Vellmar in the Kassel district in Hesse .

The place is 6 km northwest of Kassel in northern Hesse . Federal road 7 runs to the west and state roads 3234 and 3386 meet in the village.

In Frommerhausen there is an evangelical church, a kindergarten, a primary school and a barbecue hut that can be rented and is suitable for 50–60 people.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1107, when the noble Kunimund donated the village to the Hersfeld Abbey .

The Protestant church in Frommershausen dates from the 12th century, its organ by Johann Stephan Heeren from 1769.
