Football is our life is a World Cup song by the German national soccer team , composed and produced by Jack White in 1973 in the run-up to the 1974 World Cup and sung by the then current players of the German national soccer team's senior team.

The 1974 World Cup took place in the Federal Republic of Germany. In the run-up to this, the German team , which had won the European Football Championship in 1972 , had reached a new peak in popularity in Germany. Single releases

The title song Football is Our Life was released in 1973 as a 7 ″ vinyl single at the same time as the album .
